If you have a computer with an ASUS motherboard installed, you have probably noticed the large ASUS logo splash screen that displays as soon as you power on your PC. The logo screen, however, hides important boot or POST test information that you might need to see.
To view POST test information when you boot your PC and remove the ASUS introduction logo, disable it in the BIOS setup area of your computer.
Instructions
1
Shut down the computer. Wait about five seconds, then restart it.
2
Press the "Delete" key several times as soon as you see the ASUS logo boot screen. Wait for the BIOS menu to load and enter the Supervisor password if prompted to do so.
3
Press the right arrow key three times to position the cursor over the "Boot" menu tab, then press "Enter."
4
Press the down arrow key one time to select the "Boot Settings Configuration" option link, then press "Enter." Use the down arrow key to scroll down to the "Full Screen Logo" option.
5
Press the "+" or "-" key one time to change the value setting for the "Full Screen Logo" field from "Enabled" to "Disabled."
6
Press the "F10" key to save the changes to the BIOS settings and exit the setup utility. The computer will restart. Once the computer reboots, the ASUS logo screen should not appear.
Tips & Warnings
If you want to disable the logo screen temporarily, press the "Tab" key on your keyboard as soon the ASUS logo appears. You will then see the POST screen instead.
